Realignment of the supply chain

On 24 June 2015, the Austrian logistics prize was awarded to Zellstoff Pöls/Business Unit Starkraft in the category “Realignment of the supply chain”, for the best innovative overall solution. This took place in Linz at the gala evening of the Austrian Logistics Day event with over 800 invited guests.
 
Before the event took place our project was reviewed by the jury and subjected to a cost-benefit analysis. The second measure was an onsite visit to Starkraft made by the jurors, so that they were able to see our solution in a working day environment. Here we were able to show our implementation of the project, as well as our innovative solution towards order management, PM2 planning and trim optimization. Furthermore we were able to give an insight of our supply chain management from start to finish.
 
Verein Netzwerk Logisitik is a network society whose sole purpose is to promote, improve and further develop all areas within the field of logistics. This includes the cooperation between corporations, science and research centres, schools and training organizations etc. They have a 22 year history and are the only platform in Austria where all supply chain relevant and related companies are represented.
