The Kraft region Murtal and Pöls

AN IDEAL PLACE TO LIVE

The market town Pöls is located between the Southern spurs of the Rottenmanner and Wölzer Tauern as well as the Seckauer Alps in the valley Pölstal and in the political district Murtal in Styria. Some of the higher mountains in the district are the Geigerkogel (1402 m), the Falkenberg (1158 m) and the Raningerkogel (945 m).

The new administrative building of the community, the church Maria Himmelfahrt and the renovated vicarage form the centre of the village with 2,342 inhabitants. A nursery school, an elementary school and a technical secondary school accommodate for the education of children and youth. In the past years the community has especially made an effort to increase the overall quality of life as the many recreational facilities for all seasons prove.
