Integrated management system
- minimize effects on the environment
- optimize health and security at the workplace
- comply with all legal and other requirements
In order to equal up to the increasing security, economic, technological an environment and risk associated requirements systematic goal planning is need for our activities and transparent and traceable processes, for which results are measured regularly according to measureable criteria. Only through this a continuous improvement process becomes possible and will enable the company to produce and market products competitively and on a long-term basis.
With the emerge of internationally normed management systems an excellent tool was created to face above challenges. Thus, it was self-evident for Heinzel Pöls to face the certification of their managements system according to ISO 9002:1994 already in 1995.
As the first production site of the Austrian paper and pulp industry Heinzel Pöls is certified according to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001!
As these implemented management systems are very similar in their core it made sense to build up a so-called integrated management system. With this it was possible to eliminate duplicities, use synergy effects and ensure an overall corporate view on to the partial aspects. For example, the safety management system, which is not officially prescribed and is non-certifiable (Plant safety "Seveso III"), is fully integrated.
The same applies to the risk management system for which Heinzel Pöls also refers to already existing and implemented structures. Here, risk management is understood as the overall term for the already existing management systems, since part of the risk management are the quality, work, plant safety and environmental risks.
Heinzel Pöls will without a doubt provide sufficient resources for the perpetuation and improvement of the integrated management system.
